  • cyber bullying can harm the online reputation of a person, it is...
    1. permanent - as stuff posted online is permanently put onto the internet, the effect on a persons reputation can be permanent, and affect the rest of their lives
    2. hard to notice - people may not overhear the bullying as it is online
    3. persistent - due to the easy access we have to the internet, cyber bullies can reach people almost 24/7 form the safety of their own home
  • emotional impacts - cyber bullying can lead victims to feel humiliated, isolated angry, and powerless due to vulnerabilities that the bully may expose, among other reasons
  • mental health impacts - cyber bullying can lead to anxiety, depression, low self esteem, employment issues (due to stuff posted online without consent), in worst case scenarios this can lead to self harm or even suicide.
  • behavioural impacts - cyber bullying can lead to the use of drugs/alcohol, absenteeism, and people feeling the need to carrying weapons out of fear
  • physical impacts - cyber bullying can lead to eating disorders, stomach/gastro issues, and sleeping disorders
